Harlan and Santa................

Harlan's daycare brought in Santa for the kids. He did not know quite what to make of him, he wanted to cry but we were able to get a couple of smiles.----WD

Harlan's First DUI

Late one afternoon, I received a complaint about erratic driving near the intersection of the formal dining room and living room. I was able to stop an white male, later identified as Harlan, without incident. He was taken into custody and put in his jumparoo where he could not cause any harm.

Truckin' Along. . . . . .

Harlan keeps truckin' along. He eats cereal in the morning, a fruit or veggie at lunch and mostly some kind of meat at night with bottles of formula in between. He's eating us out of house and home!!! But we are not complaining. He's more than capable of sitting on his own but chooses not to. He'd rather stand. Also, he is trying his best to talk. It won't be long.----WD

Harlan Eating Carrots...Mmmmmmm!!!

Harlan has graduated to eating 2nd stage foods and is loving eat. Like feeding a hungry bird. No problems here.

Harlan, although not crawling yet, has found that he can roll wherever he needs to go. Blink and here is what you get. Don't ask, I don't know how.-----WD

Harlan 6 months appointment

Harlan had his 6 month appointment today. He came in weighing 14 lbs, 12 oz & 26.5 inches long. He is now caught to being average for height and head measurement, but he is in the 10% on weight. The pediatrician seems to think that because Willie and I are small that he is just going to be a lean boy. He did good with his shots. He cried for a little bit and then just went to sleep. He sat up for the pediatrician for a little while on the exam table. So, it won't be long before he is doing this all the time._______________________________SD

HARLAN'S FIRST THANKSGIVING

HARLAN HAD A GREAT THANKSGIVING AT HOME WITH MOM AND DAD. HE IS EATING US OUT OF HOUSE AND HOME. HE EATS ABOUT 8 OZ FIVE TIMES A DAY AND NOW EATS FRUITS AND VEGES TWICE A DAY. THE ONLY THING HE DOES NOT LIKE IS BANANAS SO FAR. HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT THANKSGIVING, WE MISSED SPENDING IT WITH EVERYONE.LOVE---------------------------------SD

Harlan is finally acting like he feels better. The only thing is he does not want to eat like he use to, but I'm sure he will get his appetite back. He loves to play peek a boo and for you to read books to him.-SD

Sick and Tired

Seems that I gave Harlan my stomach bug that I had last week. Poor guy has not been feeling too good. So not much new happening.----WD

Devil in Disguise

I'm not sure, but i think my parents want me to sleep. In that case, party @ my crib 2.am.

Still an uphill battle getting Harlan to sleep all night. I think at this point, we have made it through two full nights. He just loves rolling over too much and wakes up in the process.

Eating Good in the Neighborhood

Harlan is taking pretty good to eating solid foods. He loves applesauce and pears. Will eat squash, sweet potatoes and still working on peas. Banana's did not top his list either. Here are a couple of pictures. ---WD

Bama's Losing Effort

Shana and I went to the Alabama vs LSU game this past Saturday. Very fun. Even if we did lose. I was able to take a couple of pictures with my phone.

I'm a Star

Harlan now has a YouTube page so you can see videos of Harlan. We have just posted his first video. He has definitely learned to laugh and giggle. If you look in the upper left hand portion of the blog, you will see a link to his YouTube page. Just click there. On the YouTube page, you will see a link back to the blog in the left hand side of the page. Hope you enjoy. Depending on the method of video, cell phone or camcorder, you may have to reduce the size of the video to clear up the video. This can be done with a button under the video. ---WD

My First Halloween

Harlan's first Halloween was not without drama. He was going to be a spotted dog and help us hand out candy to the neighborhood ghouls. However, we bought his costume a little too soon and he outgrew it. So, he just played in his jumparoo while we did the work and handed out candy. We did get a couple of pictures when we bought the costume and Shana managed to snap a few Halloween night by squeezing him in.

Start Up!!!!!

We have set up a new blog for Harlan, since he outgrew his previous one. We hope to keep this one updated more often. Now that there are more than just ultrasound pictures to show. He keeps amazing us everyday with his progress and we hope to keep everybody else informed as well. Please be patient, this blog is a work in progress. We will be posting video of Harlan and will be experimenting with the best way for everybody to view it. Please let us know how it is going.
